All speeches are heard in each class by Friday 12 Aug with the Year Group Semi Finals in Week 4 ( Tuesday 16Aug) and the Speech Finals in Week 5 (Fri 26 Aug). This year all speeches are written at School so that the work is entirely the child’s work. The Year 7 and 8 topics= *School Students only learn things between about 9am and 3pm. Really? *The past is better than the present. *People should treat animals the same as we get treated. *There are other tools/resources that can be used to enhance my education at School. *Manners and respect are important features of 21st Century citizens. *Topic of own choice=must justify that you can argue for and against.must be confirmed by Team 4 teachers.Thank you to Christian, Marty, Caleb H, Louis, Max R and Gabby who made suggestions for our Year 7 8 speech topics. Our Year 6’s are in the same Speech competition as the Team 3 Year 5 and 6’s. The Year 6 topics are: Electronics are stealing childhood Are we doing enough to save our planet? Healthy food versus Junk Food The Year 6 Semi Finals are on Fri 19 Aug 11-30 to 12-30.**
